The Wide Welly Company is a sole trader operated company with offices at Oaktree Court Business Centre, Mill Lane, Neston, Cheshire CH64 8TP.

By purchasing from us, you are accepting our terms and conditions in full.

Product Images

The product images shown on The Wide Welly Company website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we make every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that your computer’s display of the colours accurately reflects the actual colours of our products. The product you receive may vary slightly in colour from the image on your screen.

Your Status

You may only place an order through www.thewidewellycompany.co.uk if:

  1. you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts
  2. you are at least 18 years old; and
  3. you are a consumer (which means that you are an individual purchasing the products outside the course of your business or trade)
  4. You can confirm & agree that all the products you order are for your own private and domestic use and are not for resale.

Forming the Contract Between Us

The website will guide you through the steps you need to place an order. Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting the order to us. Please ensure that you have checked your order at each stage of the order process.

NOTE: Once you have placed the order with us, it can be amended by contacting us on hello@thewidewellycompany.co.uk, but only if we haven’t already shipped it!

After placing an order, you will receive an email from us (sent to the email address that you have provided when placing your order) acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Remember to check your junk file if you don’t receive an e-mail in your inbox.

All orders are subject to acceptance by us. We will confirm acceptance to you by sending you an email that confirms that the product has been dispatched. The contract between us is only formed when we send you the Dispatch Confirmation

The Contract will relate only to those products whose dispatch we have confirmed in the Dispatch Confirmation. We will not be obliged to supply any other products which may have been part of your order until the dispatch of such products has been confirmed in a separate Dispatch Confirmation.

If we are unable to supply you with a product you have ordered, for example, if the product is out of stock or inability to authorise your payment, we will inform you of this by email and we will not process your order. If you have already paid for the products, we will refund you the full amount as soon as possible.

Payment

We accept credit and debit card payments using Stripe and PayPal. The payments process is an integrated part of our website.

Dispatch

We aim to despatch all orders received by 1pm Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) on the same day. Otherwise orders are sent the next working day.

Although we are unable to despatch orders on Sundays and Bank Holidays, we do sometimes pick and prepare on these days. This means that you may get a confirmation of despatch as we allocate tracking IDs. These orders are guaranteed to be despatched on the next working day.

Delivery

All deliveries are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48. During adverse weather conditions, deliveries may be delayed, which is outside of our control. Orders are normally received within 3-5 working days from the date of order.

We do not offer a guaranteed next day delivery service as it is not cost-effective for either The Wide Welly Company or its customers.

We reserve the right to choose which carrier we use.

All our deliveries are traceable. Non-deliveries must be reported, in writing within 10 days of the original order date. After this time, we cannot investigate a non-delivery.

Cancellation Rights

As a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel a Contract with us under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Your right to cancel a Contract begins on the date you place your order and ends 14 calendar days from the day after you receive the product you have ordered.

To cancel a Contract, please notify us in writing during the time period specified.

If we have already dispatched the product before you decide to cancel your Contract, you must return it to us as soon as possible and, in any event, within 14 calendar days of cancellation. You can return it to The Wide Welly Company, Oaktree Court Business Centre, Mill Lane, Neston, Cheshire, CH64 8TP.  You will need to pay the costs of returning the product to us and obtain a proof of posting.

We will process your refund as soon as possible. If we have dispatched the product before you cancel the Contract, we will process your refund within 14 calendar days after the day on which we receive the product back. If we have not yet dispatched the product before you cancel the Contract, we will process your refund within 14 calendar days of your cancellation.

Products must be returned in their original condition. We may reduce any refund due to you to reflect any reduction in the value of the product due to how you have handled it.

Guarantee

The Wide Welly Company designs and supplies its own products. We do not sell wellingtons made by any other retailer, neither do we sell our own products via any other retailer or website.

All our wellies come with a 365-day guarantee. Our boots undergo rigorous tests and we believe that if they fail within 6 months, this will be due to a failure in our manufacturing or testing process. We’re happy to replace or refund items which fail in this time.

For items failing after 180 days, we are happy to offer a free replacement up to 365 days from the date of purchase.

Our guarantee is valid from the initial date of purchase. If we have sent out any replacement boots, the guarantee will still only be valid from the initial date of purchase.

In order to report an issue, make a complaint or request an exchange, please contact us on hello@thewidewellycompany.co.uk first. We are unable to process any refunds or exchanges unless we receive prior notification.
