Returns & Exchanges Policy
Notifying Us of a Return
If you would like to return your order, please let us know first so we can track your return and process it promptly.
You can contact us at verity@thewidewellycompany.co.uk with your order number and reason for return.
How to Return Your Order
You can create and download a return label using our Royal Mail Returns Portal:

- Returns are charged at £3.99, which will be deducted from your refund.
- Please ensure the items are returned in their original, unworn condition and packaging.
- We recommend retaining your Royal Mail proof of posting until your refund or exchange has been confirmed.
Exchanges
We’re happy to offer one free exchange per order through our Royal Mail returns portal.
If you’d like to exchange your wellies for a different size or design, please e-mail verity@thewidewellycompany.co.uk and let us know.
Your replacement pair will be dispatched once we receive and inspect your returned item.
Refunds
Once your return has been received and checked, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.
- Standard postage costs (Royal Mail Tracked 48) are refunded in line with consumer legislation.
- If you upgraded to a non-standard delivery service (e.g. Tracked 24), this additional cost will not be refunded.
- A £3.99 return fee will be deducted from your refund to cover the return postage cost.
Please allow up to 10 working days for your refund to appear on your statement.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you believe there is a problem with your wellies, please do not return them until you have contacted us.
Email verity@thewidewellycompany.co.uk with your order number and a description (or photo) of the issue.
We will advise you of the next steps and, if appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund at our expense.
Additional Information
- Returns must be made within 30 days of receiving your order.
- Items must be unworn, undamaged, and in resalable condition.
- We are unable to accept returns for items that show signs of wear, use, or damage caused after delivery.
