UK Shipping Policy

Dispatch Schedule

The Wide Welly Company dispatches orders Monday to Saturday, but excluding Sundays and UK Bank Holidays.

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday): Orders received before 2:00 p.m. will be dispatched the same day.
  • Saturday: Orders received before 11:00 a.m. will be dispatched the same day.
  • Orders received after these times will be dispatched on the next available working day.

Please note that while we may pick and pack orders on Sundays and Bank Holidays (which may trigger a tracking notification), no collections or deliveries will take place on those days.


Delivery Services and Charges

We use Royal Mail Tracked services for all deliveries within the UK.

*Delivery timeframes are provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed. Royal Mail does not deliver on weekends. Orders placed on Thursday or Friday are therefore likely to arrive the following week.

Once your parcel has been collected by Royal Mail, delivery performance is beyond our control. The Wide Welly Company cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by Royal Mail or other delivery partners.


Undelivered or Delayed Parcels

If your parcel has not arrived within 7 working days of dispatch, please:

  1. Check your tracking information using the link provided in your dispatch email.
  2. Contact your local Royal Mail delivery office, as they may be holding your parcel.
  3. If you are still unable to locate your order, please contact us at verity@thewidewellycompany.co.uk, quoting your order number.

We will investigate with Royal Mail and assist in resolving the issue as quickly as possible.


Incorrect Delivery Addresses

Please ensure your delivery address is entered accurately at the time of ordering.
If an incorrect address is provided and the parcel is returned to us or lost as a result:

  • The cost of re-shipping the order will be the responsibility of the customer.
  • We will not cover the cost of replacement goods or additional postage fees in these cases.

If an address or dispatch error is made by The Wide Welly Company, we will, of course, correct it immediately at our expense.


Additional Information

  • Working days exclude Sundays and Bank Holidays.
  • Delivery estimates begin from the date of dispatch, not the date of order.
  • Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email containing your Royal Mail tracking number.

🌍 Non-UK (International) Shipping

We’re delighted to send our wellies to a growing number of international destinations!

Where We Ship

We currently ship to many countries worldwide, excluding the United States and Canada.
If you’re unsure whether we can deliver to your destination, please contact us before placing your order.

Dispatch Times

Our international shipping schedule matches our UK dispatch times:

  • Weekdays: Orders placed before 2 p.m. (UK time) are dispatched the same day.

  • Saturdays:  We are unable to physically despatch non-UK orders on Saturdays

Delivery Method

All international orders are shipped through our freight-forwarding partner, who selects the most reliable and cost-effective carrier for each destination.
Tracking information will be provided once your parcel has been shipped.

Customs & Duties

We aim to buy freight on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis wherever possible, so import duties and taxes are included.
If this isn’t possible for your destination, we’ll let you know before dispatch so you can prepare for any local customs charges.

Customs Duties:
Import duties apply to goods sent from the EU to the UK. Goods valued under £135 are not subject to customs duties.
Different thresholds may apply for shipments outside the EU.

Returns & Exchanges (Outside the UK)

Due to the high cost of international shipping, we are unable to offer free exchanges or free returns.

If you wish to return or exchange your order:

  • Please use the lowest-cost tracked service available.
  • Retain your tracking information until your return has been received.
  • We are unable to refund items lost in transit while being returned to us.

If there’s an issue with your wellies, please contact us before sending them back.

Refunds

Refunds are issued once your returned items have been received and inspected.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.
